Los Angeles has been proposed as a host city for the 2024 Summer Games by the US Olympic Committee.
The city’s bid outlines over $6bn (£3.9bn) in public and private spending.The International Olympic Committee will pick the 2024 host city in 2017.Rome, Paris, Hamburg, and Budapest are all in the running.The 2016 Games are being held in Rio de Janeiro. Tokyo will host the 2020 Olympics. Los Angeles has staged the Olympics twice, first in 1932 and again in 1984.
A successful bid for 2024 would make LA the only city besides London to host the Olympics three times.
