Japan has become the first country in the world to elect a transgender man to a public office.The 25-year-old Tomoya Hosoda was elected as a councillor for the Japan’s Iruma after winning 21 of 22 seats in the elections. Hosoda has pledged to promote diversity and support for all minorities and not only for the LGBTQ community.
