China launches its first-ever unmanned cargo spacecraft

China has successfully launched its first unmanned cargo resupply spacecraft on 20th April. The launch provides an “important technological basis” for developing a permanently manned Chinese space station by 2022. It is expected to dock with the Tiangong 2 space laboratory, where two astronauts spent a month last October in China’s longest ever manned space mission.
